At ChinaWKB LLC, we’re all about making your journey to China’s hidden wonders—like the misty trails of Mount Tai or the quiet villages of Guangxi—smooth and unforgettable. But sometimes plans change, and we get that. Our Refund Policy is designed to be fair, clear, and straightforward, so you know exactly what to expect if you need to cancel or adjust your travel plans with us. Here’s how it works.
Booking Cancellations
We know life can throw curveballs, so we’ve got your back with a flexible cancellation policy:
More than 30 days before your trip: Cancel your booking, and we’ll refund 100% of your payment, minus any non-refundable fees (like third-party booking platform charges). No fuss, no hassle.
15–30 days before your trip: Cancel within this window, and you’ll get a 50% refund of your payment, minus any non-refundable fees. We start locking in local guides and homestays at this point, so this helps cover their costs.
Less than 15 days before your trip: Unfortunately, we can’t offer refunds this close to the date, as arrangements like lodging in Yunnan’s tea villages or permits for Jiuzhaigou are already set. But we’ll work with you to reschedule if possible.
To cancel, just shoot us an email or give us a call, and we’ll process your request within 7 business days. Refunds go back to your original payment method, though it might take a few extra days for your bank to show the funds.
Changes to Your Booking
Want to tweak your itinerary—say, swap a hike in Wudang for a day in Jingdezhen’s kilns? We’ll do our best to make it happen:
More than 30 days out: Changes are usually free, depending on availability. If there’s a price difference (like upgrading to a private guide), we’ll let you know any extra costs.
15–30 days out: Changes are subject to availability, and a small admin fee (up to $50) might apply to cover rebooking with local partners.
Less than 15 days: Changes depend on what our partners (like homestays or transport providers) can accommodate. We’ll try, but no guarantees, and fees may apply.
Reach out as soon as you know you need a change, and we’ll sort out what’s possible.
Non-Refundable Services
Some parts of your trip might be non-refundable, like:
Entrance fees to sites like Maijishan Grottoes or Shunan Bamboo Sea, which are paid upfront to local authorities.
Third-party bookings (think flights or trains) that have their own refund rules—we’ll pass along any refunds we get from them.
Custom experiences, like a private tea-tasting in Yunnan, which are pre-arranged with artisans or hosts.
We’ll always be upfront about what’s non-refundable when you book, so you’re not caught off guard.
Unforeseen Circumstances
If something out of our control—like weather shutting down trails in Hulunbuir or government restrictions in Sichuan—forces us to cancel your trip, we’ve got options:
A full refund, minus any non-refundable fees we’ve already paid.
Or a credit toward a future trip, valid for one year, with no extra fees.
If you can’t travel due to personal emergencies (like illness or family issues), let us know ASAP. We can’t always refund, but we’ll try to offer credits or reschedule where possible, especially if you’ve got travel insurance (which we recommend!).
